Are Schools gonna Disappear ?

I am not overdramatizing it but in the next 10 -20 years offline schools will go extinct and the thing that we would be calling school would be our laptops.

Our schools are gonna be right next to our beds. And this lockdown era of 2020 has proved that this is so very much possible and every one of us had been through it. And this was just a glimpse of a world that small laptop and that super small magic device in your hand is gonna hold. It’s been very very easier to connect billions of people. The easier it’s gonna become to connect millions the tougher it’s gonna be to be in contact with 10 real people, actual people flush and blood, sitting in the same room and breathing the same air as you would be a much tougher job to approach and talk with. The era of real friends to reel friends is going in right now and we all are witnesses of it.

And no matter what I say or what anybody says this internet is a hell of a cool deal its the biggest thing of the century and no matter who says it the truth remains the same that the internet is the coolest stuff ever, without it I don’t think that anybody would be interested to read thoughts of a kid sitting on the couch in some small town of India.

so we got the core point is that the internet is very very powerful and he is more power full than you can ever imagine internet has more than just social media there are companies lakhs of them based on the internet and believe me or not this powerful stuff is gonna take that old schooling stuff with it.

Would PEOPLE choose internet over actual schools ?

Why would people choose internet over actual offline school ?

Hmmm , i could not find a reason why would they not choose internet ?

Internet is convenient, no need for having big buildings or buildings altogether, no need to pay for the fancy campus, electricity, cleaning, maintaining, security, staff rooms, having cafes and hundreds of such things. you can have any number of students you desire in a virtual school, there are no walls to stop you. Minimum cost and amazing profit in having everything online,

You can reach out to students around the globe from the most remote of towns to the most hi-tech cities. from developing to developed countries. So the students don’t have to go a million miles away from them their families, friends . they don’t have to leave their country and the warmth of their homes.

It is time-saving having things online is very time-saving the time used in travelling to and fro of school is saved. the time on the campus half is just wasted this saved time can be used to learn a new skill the thing we all should learn as soon as possible cause without it it would be just impossible to survive in the modern days.

What proof do I have ?

The proofs are all around the internet from youtube tutorials to skillshare classes. platforms like skillshare are revolutionary and they are affordable too. much more affordable than the course of a university and way more flexible in structure. It employs people with great returns and affordable courses to people ho are willing to learn new skills.

Looking at the pure profit and the positive impact its would not be a surprise that universities and schools go extinct. And it also provides the teachers with the thing that the old system ever gave it is FAME or more to put it better “ acknowledgement ”

Now which student has not heard about Sal khan the founder of khan academy, the internet teaches are not just teachers they are creators they know how to make people listen and how to interpret things easily, making things attractive.

And this is not just me the NAS ACADEMY by nas daily is based on this idea as well.

You already new ?

Why look for others example how often do you watch a youtube tutorial for something that you don’t know I watch tutorials for almost everything from how to edit video, et up a system, plan my day, type fast or sleep efficiently.?

I was just laughing like yesterday on the same topic with my brother, that it would not surprise me if the next-gen kid would learn how to talk or even how to walk watching a youtube tutorial.

this is just how big of a part social media and youtube is gonna have in our lives.

Judging by this it's just a matter of time that this internet would overtake education and school as well

I really didn’t wanted to review this app, cause

a. It got many reviews by famous people.

And

b . It got so many features , so if I have to explain them all it would make upto 15-20 pages and I really don’t want to write that much . And you won’t want to read that much either right ?

But since I promised it in my previous blog I am gonna do it. And partially because I am in love with notion .

So let’s begin. ⚡

What is notion dude?

Babe , if you don’t know what notion is then I guess you are not interested in the productivity stuff. Like who doesn’t know it.

Ok , so let me explain what this notion is : Notion is a notetaking cum all in one productivity solutions. It got every feature to make your life organized . From notetaking, to- do list , calender planning, business organization plan , and 100s of templates to make your work easier and faster. 🚅

And if you still don’t get it , then it’s probably not my problem.

How does it work?

So how dies this notion thing works . As I told you it’s an notetaking app . So you can take note here , plan your day , month year , mak to do list. Have your entire business flow on it with this team account. , even write maths solutions over here . Share your notes make them connect to each other . And it has got every thing you would possibly need to make your notes better and your life organized.

What makes it so special?

Its brilliant customisation options is what that makes it so special and my favorite.

How complicated can it get ?

Complex you ask huh ? 🤔Hmm in simple words you can go in as much depth you want to go to and that can be very very complex and you can also use its basic features which are real simple to use .

And to conclude I would say notion is like the photo shop of notetaking app . It can do everything and can be the one and only thing you would need..

Is it free ???? 💸💸💸

You know that the best plus point here is that it’s absolutely free. You can shift to premium if you want but you get enough features in the free version as well. This is real generous of them according to me. They have got some many features, so many amazing and fantastic features tha they could have easily charged a fortune and you would have paid to use their features. But they have given that all for free ………AND THATs COOL

Is it available on all the platform ?

Yep . It’s available on all the platform you can think of. From your phone to ipad to window to Mac. It’s really a second brain.

Notion vs all

Notion now has become a real super competition for all of other notetaking apps . And apparently is winning…….

Which feature is my favorite 😍?

The feature of adding ‘ n ‘ number of sub pages in the page . Along with toggle list and adding the page icon and page cover are my personal favorite 😍 features.

So should you go for it ?

So from the past months there have been many cool apps showing up which are giving tough competition to the stable Kings and have been even winning. Here in the notetaking productivity gene the stable kings evernote , OneNote, etc. Are facing some trouble from the cool new apps like notion , remnote and obsidian and Roam Research.

Notion has set a very high standard for a notetaking app. By bringing everything together in one app for a one productivity solution . And Roam Research after the Notion’ s hype is really gotten a hype in the past few months.

And if it is a productivity app I thought I could try it out. So I tried it and here’s what I found out broken down into question :

What the hell is Roam anyway? 🤷‍♂️

Roam is a new and a very hyped notetaking app . Degined to help you network your thoughts. And help you make a second brain and collect your thoughts .

Ok fine , what does it do ? How does it work ? 🤔

It works on the basis of the basis zettlekasten method or the method of slipbox . If want to read about this zettlekasten method in detail then make sure to subscribe the blog . Cause I am gonna explain it in great detail in my next blog.

But for now , let me explain it briefly . This method actually links your every day thoughts to one another.

Like on day one you wrote about may be an anime . ” I love the anime fruits basket. The main character (kyo) ,toru and yuki are so good. ” I don’t know if you have watched it or not , but if haven’t then man you are ruining your life. Go and watch it , but after reading the blog . 😜

Then on day two you wrote somethings about it like : “kyo and toru are cute ” . Now you can link these two sentences as both has something in common like ” kyo and toru ”

So in its mind map they would be linked and connected.

I know that could be the stupidest of example , that one can give but thats what I could think for now . And if it makes you confused then don’t worry. Let’s move on

What are its main features? 🤔

Ok , I won’t take about all the features here . But I would like to tell you the main features of the app . Or the key features

First is the bidirectional linking
Second is the mind map

So let me explain it to you.

The first feature of this app which just pops out 😯 is the bidirectional linking.↗️↙️

Let me explain it to you with an example . Like ” I love rashmi’ s blog ” . And you wanna add extra information about the Rashmi . .

So you just add two brackets around it like this: [[Rashmi ]] . It would create a page for just this word rashmi .

Then here you can write , like for e.g. ” Rashmi is a content writer and content creator with an amazing YouTube channel and blog ” . Now on this New page it will show you the back link to the first page .And it would make navigation real easy .

Its what they call networked thought of I call connected thoughts .

Second key features would be it’s mind map :

Its shows they info you have written in the app in a connected form . Or in even simpler words how your notes are connected to each other.

Like we have : Revolution a simple term in history, then how French Revolution , Russian Revolution are connected or how Napoleonic Wars are connected to these Revolution. They show you this in a real connected mind map format.

That’s what makes it special : 🤷‍♂️

The networking of thoughts here is what makes it standout between other notetaking apps .

So , is it complicated to use ?

About how complicated can it get , I can take you out of your mind in complexity. The app is real complex for some people like me and is really not for everyone out there . It’s designed for networking thought and writing in the app can get complex . It has many many cool features some even better than notion but they are hidden. And it can take you a fine amount of time to learn them.

Is it available on android? 📱

Yes. you can download it from there official website, and it doesn’t matter if you are an Android user or and iOS user . You can download and try the app.

Is it free ? 🤑💸

No , it’s not , the fact that roam is real expensive can be a down point , cause many students don’t have that much financial support to send that much money on one app .

Like seriously 15 dollars a month thats like half of my room rent .But this may not be the issue for some but is one for a student who hasn’t started earning yet . They provide scholarship too , you can apply for them .

So now you know .

Notion v/ s Roam smack down 🥊

Ok , so the best and all in one productivity app notion. Which just came and made every buddy a fan can Roam beat notion . And which one of them I would like .
So , without wasting any of your time my clear cut winner is notion .

So , do I like it ? If you care

Yeh Roam is a real good app and part of our paperless Revolution. But I guess it’s not for me . I am using notion for a good part of the year now and I love it . It’s so good that it’s hard for me to leave it . And hard for Roam to take its place .

Roam is an amazing app but it depends on the person wether it suits them or not..

Conclusion

So , in conclusion I won’t force you to use roam , but if you love to explore productivity tools like me so go ahead and try it out.

What in this world is Read era ? 🤷‍♂️

Read era is a PDF, epub, mobi , reader . Which is really amazing. It is available on playstore and app store as well . It makes the reading experience on the phone much more fun and almost like a Kindle.

So how do this Read era thing works ?

It is a PDF reader with a lot of awesome features that we will see next.
Now let’s focus on its functions :
All the pdf and pub or mobi files that you have in your storage is displayed here you can select the novel you are reading and it will show you that novel in the reading now section, you can customise the epub and PDF according to your liking and then have the reading experience your way .
You can quote and book mark the page or line and can also add your own opinion as a note . Your quote and notes are all stored in a particular tab in there for each file. Then you can add collections of novel like I did. I read 8 books of percy Jackson series and I have sorted them into one folder. Then the name of the author of each book is stored there so that you know which authors you have read .
It got a good to many features so let’s move to next part .

Ok ! What is amazing about it?

There are a ton of amazing features in this app which I talked about and a ton more which I would like to explain :

First it able to read files of all format from pdf, epubs , mobi ,word ,doc ,txt ,doc ,AZW and all other formats available in this world . So you don’t have to download 10 apps this one would be enough.

second the most amazing thing which I thought was the feature which tells the time it would take to read this book

Then come the amazing feature of library view . I am currently using Read – era premium and in this comes the amazing library view where you can view all you pdf or any files pages in one place and could directly jump to the page . I use it mostly for jumping through the notes pdf that I get .

Fourth will the children mode which is especially designed for kids , taking care of there eyes . The cool thing here is that if you wanna switch out of kids mode you need to solve a maths problem.

Then there are themes , day ,night ,sepia ( my favorite). Night contrast ,sepia contrast and all.

Next feature you are gonna comment me . So go and download the app and do tell me which feature is your favorite.

How is this any better than my regular PDF reader ?

So After mentioning entire bible over there I think you know why it’s better than any other pdf readers

Is it free ?

Yes it is . Read era is absolutely free and there isn’t much difference between read -era and read -era premium. I think go with read – era it’s the best

What I like about it ? If you care

I like every feature in this app it’s vey simple and easy to use . Every single book that I read in these six months has been read on this very app .

In conclusion this app is just so awesome. You have to try it . Or it would be a loss of a very good tool .

Its an productivity app available at playstore and appstore free for all of you . For people to read quotes, insights and book summaries. It has over 10L download on playstore .

What does it do ?

Deepstash is app to start your mornings with and end your day at . Here curators share summarises and key insights and valued lessons from book . And articles and experience. About various fields like health , leadership, self-development, hobbies , business, technology. Etc .every thing in one place .
Read a good thought share a good thought.
Thats what it’s based on

Is it worth my time ?

I guess it’s real good to invest your time in . It would be way better to read something inspiring and share somethings inspiring than scroll through the social media .
I use it everyday,
you can read the quotes I share by searching( @randombeing )

Things I liked the most

The thing which I loved the most was the interface of the app . It’s real nice . I loved the light theme and the color full display . Along with that its real easy to use .And with that reviews and insight- points of almost every book is available here .
A I loved it .

Things that needs to be improved

I want this app to improve in the area of collecting community. There should be feature to message the members . And comment your thoughts on the quote
Second thing would be more control over the review I added .
Third will be the display. Now just now I said loved it and now I am saying it’s a down point . So let me explain: every time I open the app I am stuck seeing the same quote . And the new quotes are real below or have to be searched . .

Day in a life of a CBSE 10 th grader :

How my typical day is like ?

Day in a life of a 10 th grader

27th May 2021
The typical day of quarantine schooling.

⏰ 7:00 am 

The day typically starts  with my alarm going crazy with that stupid 'rooster roster '. Which I don't know why in God's name I set up . 

Then like an "productivity legend"  I put it off and get back to sleep in the beautiful dream where I was surrounded by brand new iPad's and new Mac book pros .

Then the real alarm comes out . At 8:30  and it's not nakli ( artificial) like your phone alarm it's the most durable alarm ever . And in one voice I am up . It was  my mom. And now I am  Ready to start a brand new day.

Then I skip exercise , and get ready in 15 mins.
Then I spend rest of my time scrolling down my phone And joking around with my silly brother .

Then it’s time for those useless online classes .
I kinda like them cause I can sit on my dear bed and give them

Hindi
I kinda like Hindi class cause we have interactive question answer and reading session and the teacher Is nice and serious about her subject . And since its just stories, these stories are nice and beautiful. And specially this love story of “Tantra and Vamiro”. It’s real emotional 🤧
So ! “Shout out to Hindi. “. But it does have a down point . We have to write too much in Hindi and I don’t like that . Ufff 😑. It’s a modern form of child labor.

Break time . And time to annoy keshav . Teasing about his favorite anime ( yo yo hukusho ) if you have ever even heard of it , pls reply. And if in any case you like it then it’s your “dharma ”( duty). To reply . It would be fun to tease a duo 😜

Maths
I just don’t understand why they have to keep maths at 10 am when it’s my breakfast time . But anyways I hear maths ( yep just hear 😤 ) with my delicious breakfast. Completely ignoring what the teacher is trying to teach . If I have to be true sir was just trying to teach but was not actually able to make sense 😝.

Maths class is completed and so is my breakfast. But I can’t remember what we studied in the class today . Infact which chapter it was ? 🤔🤔🤔. Sir really don’t know how to teach . This system sucks man . 😑

It’s probably the time when the class is already been over for 20 mins . And mom is shouting on me to take a bath . ….😅
After taking one our to find my cloths and 30 mins to take bath . It’s time for lunch already
I am having aloo dum for lunch .

After eating . Time for rest , talk , YouTube and time pass. ☺️
Before long it’s 5 already.🕔

Time to study and procrastinate . Today I am studying biology. Ch 8 ( directly ch 8😅 ) How do organisms reproduce . It’s a rather interesting chapter. And teachers feel awkward teaching it some times. 😂

🍜 Maggie time 😋

Its the evening time and me and keshav we together make Maggie. And enjoy it with a shin Chan’s episode. ( shinchan – shin chan pyaara pyaara).

Then I search for ideas for my YouTube videos . Talk with my family. ☺️👨‍👨‍👦‍👦

And by 11 : 00 I am off to sleep . Preparing for yet another day .
